ABOUT ME
My name is Cesar Canizales. I’m a freelance writer and communicator with a proven track record in storytelling, and blog, press release and broadcast news-style writing. I also offer photo and video production services in Seattle.
I’m a former network-level news producer with experience in broadcast journalism, video production and live TV news production. Fluent in English, Spanish and German with proficiency in French.
As a broadcast news journalist for more than 20 years, I covered national news, the White House, Congress, federal agencies, natural disasters, local news, and more. I transferred that knowledge and experience into a successful career as a public relations and communications expert, writing press releases and telling the stories of the organizations I represented. As the associate director of public relations at United Way of King County, I successfully pitched and coordinated dozens of broadcast and print media interviews and other events to highlight the organization’s efforts to help people most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can find me on LinkedIn.
Some of my articles were repurposed by news organizations, which produced their own content based on my reporting. Some other pieces were republished by publications such as Community College Daily and Hispanic Outlook on Education, and others. You can see some of my previous writing in my portfolio or scroll down to see some of that work.
